Bringing commissioning subsea.
Pipeline commissioning has traditionally relied on topside systems with separate units for flooding, testing, pigging, chemical injection and more. Each step requires complex logistics and high cost. OceanOne recognized the opportunity to simplify subsea pumping, reducing cost and footprint, and creating a safer alternative to conventional methods.
Redefining control flexibility.
As part of Envirex Group, we worked alongside OceanOne to develop SubComm, a modular subsea commissioning system. Our role was to support the technical development, modular architecture and operational integration, ensuring the design could be delivered in the toughest conditions.
Designed to handle various tasks, including flooding, testing and chemical injection, SubComm replaces a suite of topside tools, bringing commissioning directly to the seabed. By removing large traditional setups, SubComm enables the use of smaller vessels, reducing both operational costs and CO₂ emissions.
For Envirex, this project highlights our strength in turning bold ideas into proven solutions and challenging the status quo with disruptive technology. Together with OceanOne we have changed how pipeline commissioning can be done.
