The Kaefer Monkeybot
The MonkeyBot was invented for the purpose of installing sensors that measure
humidity and temperature inside the insulating layer of the hydrocarbon-bearing pipes.
This is an absolutely essential criteria for the pipes not to rust on the inside, and possibly corrode.
The goal for this robot is to make risk-based work easier. It turns out that a very large amount of pipe-stripping happens without necessity,
and these sensors allows you to see what the condition of the pipes actually is like, without having to remove the insulating layer.
