We Are Problem Solvers

Envirex - A trustworthy problem solver!

During the last month Envirex has been involved in a fast-track project due to challenges our client has faced offshore.

The first mission was to design a tool to secure some Subsea Pull-in Heads. The tools were needed urgently to avoid downtime and high cost. Together with the client our engineering team looked into possible way of solving the challenge – the tool required new thinking and bespoke solutions to fit the job. During the following weekend, our engineering team worked on a solution which was presented to the Client Monday morning.  Also, a 3D video had been prepared to visualize the functionality and installation process of the tool.

The Client embraced the solution and Envirex were given the fabrication contract which included engineering, manufacturing, assembly and testing of two tools.  Delivery within 4 days. By great effort from our suppliers we managed to fabricate, assembly and test the tool within agreed delivery date!

Additionally, we designed a similar tool which should be used for the same purpose, but on a different interface. The fabrication of these additional tools were also urgent and delivered on four working days! Another mission!

The second mission was to design a subsea stroke tool for tie in operation. The timeline was critical and there was no time for mistakes. The tool should create high forces and fit in a quite tight interface. To meet the delivery time, we had to base the design using off the shelf products and a custom designed frame. Strong teamwork and great communication between all involved personnel are crucial to succeed on this type of projects

Engineering Manager, Anders Hagen

The stroke tool is designed with two hydraulic cylinders which creates the push and pull force of 88,6 metric Ton in both push and pull direction. When the tool was assembled, it was successfully tested on a dummy interface.
The tool was designed and fabricated in one week.

“ We have a flexible and experienced engineering staff which are supported by our technicians with operational experience.  This combination, together with reliable suppliers, put us in position to solve challenges on a minimum of time and deliver smart,
reliable and robust solutions – which work”

Technical manager, Kenneth Thunheim.
